STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL OF PARAHYANGAN CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY

FOR THE PERIOD OF 2017 – 2018

The Student Representative Council (Majelis Perwakilan Mahasiswa / MPM) is one of the institutions within the Parahyangan Catholic University Student Association (PM UNPAR) that has both legislative and judicial functions. The legislative function of MPM is to legislate regulations that must be obeyed by every institution within PM UNPAR. The judicial function of MPM is to oversee every work programme and student activities that are carried out are in accordance with the regulations that have been established. MPM members come from representatives of each faculty at UNPAR who are selected through general elections. MPM is obliged to seek, accommodate, consider, and follow up on every aspiration from all UNPAR students.

  1. Building and developing relationships, as well as cooperating with institutions within UNPAR
  2. Providing information that is actual, factual, and relevant to UNPAR students
  3. Increasing students’ sensitivity to the phenomena and dynamics that occur within the environment of UNPAR
  4. Facilitating and following up on the aspirations of UNPAR students

Job Description

Chairman of the Student Representative Council

Leader in the MPM institution, as well as chairman of PM UNPAR. The Chairperson of the MPM is responsible for the legislative function, as well as acting as the decision maker and technical policy maker of MPM.

Internal Inspector

Executor and person in charge of the judicial function belonging to MPM, with an equal position and coordinating with the Chairman of MPM.

Secretary General

Coordinator of all commissions under the secretary general, and has the right to hold accountability and provide input, criticism, and suggestions to all commissions at MPM UNPAR.

Internal Affair Board (Badan Urusan Rumah Tangga/BURT)

Serves as MPM secretariat administrator, inventory controller and manager, provider of facilities for meeting minutes and archives, as well as financial administrator of MPM UNPAR.

Public Relations Commission

Responsible for establishing relations and cooperation with external and internal parties, and is obliged to provide information regarding MPM policies and activities supported by communication and information technology.

Institutions and Resources Commission

Responsible for reviewing the quality of the institution as well as developing institutions within PM UNPAR and their resources.

Research and Development Commission

Responsible for reviewing regulations and institutions within PM UNPAR, researching phenomena inside and outside the institution of PM UNPAR, as well as processing research results to develop PM UNPAR to a better direction.
