LECTURES AND TEST ACTIVITIES

The evaluation of course learning success is an assessment of student learning outcomes in one particular subject, which is done comprehensively and continuously in one semester by using the appropriate method for the subject involved.

LECTURES

The student involvement and level of understanding in lectures activity are evaluated by applying a series of evaluation systems consisting of three components,

  1. Assignment

All of the assignment scores are summed up and then divided by the number of assignments that should be finished. This calculation will produce a number called the Average Assignment Score. In some subjects, the assignment score can also be obtained from other than normal assignments such as assignments from response classes and practicum activities.

  • Midterm Tests

This test is intended to evaluate the student’s understanding of the subject based on the lecture activities during the first half of the semester. The result of this evaluation is called Midterm Test Score.

  • Final Tests

This test is intended to evaluate the student’s understanding of the subject based on the lecture material during the whole semester. This test can only be taken by students that are eligible and have at least 80% attendance of face-to-face activities. The result of this evaluation is called Final Test Score.

The administering of midterm and final tests are regulated by “Implementation Guidelines and Code of Conduct of written tests”.

In the case of students experiencing conditions beyond their ability to take the exam during midterm or final tests, then that specific student can submit an application for a make-up test.

Based on SK Rektor Unpar No. III/PRT/2018-09/137: Assessment of the satisfactory completion of learning  in the lecture subject and Assessment of the study success in the Parahyangan Catholic University Environment. The final score of each student is calculated using a formula written below.

The final score = (point x Average Assignment Score) + (point x Midterm Test Score) + (point x Final Test Score)

Then the final score is converted to the final score. Basically, the conversion of the final score into the final score is done by using Benchmark Reference Assessment.

Conversion is done using Benchmark Reference Assessment, and the reference used for the final score is as below

SEMINAR

In seminar there is no assessment done from doing tests such as a midterm or final in lecture activities. The assessment of students’ involvement in seminar activities is done by

  1. Assessment of Paper
  2. Assessment of Presentation
  3. Assessment of Discussion or Participation
  4. Assessment of Activity Report

Practicum

The assessment of students is done by measurement of the student’s satisfactory completion of the practicum by taking into account the timeliness of completion of tasks, neatness, accuracy, completion level, creativity, and workmanship accuracy. Basically, the final score for practicum activities is a combination of the score of all assignments given.
